What is the IDEA Foundation? We are committed to helping people around the world who lack the resources to help themselves. Through education, construction, and even money for groceries, we impact real people everyday. Please take a tour of our webiste and learn more about the people we help and how we help them.
For the 17th consecutive year, members of the Rite of Spring are donating their time and talent in support of the IDEA Foundation, and they’ve invited talented Northwest musicians to join them as part of a Mini Folk Festival. The Festival provides music lovers a rare opportunity to hear some of the outstanding acoustic performers in the Pacific Northwest.
IDEA provided $1,500 to Alankie School for roofing material for four new classrooms built by parents. The money was wired to the school on Thursday, arrived at the local bank on Monday; the materials were purchased on Tuesday, and the job was completed on Thursday. The rains began on Friday! Prior to IDEA’s contribution, 147 students had to share one classroom.
The IDEA Foundation has the opportunity to purchase a thriving 13-acre vegetable farm in rural Namibia to use as a training facility for young men and women who wish to pursue farming and agribusiness as a career. An additional 500 acres have been offered to the project at no cost by a local organization via a 99-year lease.
